...Tato 'Thoughts'!

I have got a good relationship with potatoes.

Reason?

It gives me the beauty answers that most high-end products struggle to.

Dark Under-arms:

You know how you raise your under-arms [a.k.a., arm-pit] in public and every-one gets to see all your yakpata?. Lol. [Some would consider it gross and/or embarrassing too!]

Basically, we have dark under-arms, that might not be pleasant to look at, or at least you don't want others to see it.

This could be as a result of your shaving often; sweating excessively; accumulation of dead-skin cells; use of alcohol-based deodorant/s; or some medical condition.

Well, there are safe ways to remove under-arm discolourations... one of them is with the use of potato.

  • Simply rub a thin slice of potato in your 'pits'.
  • You can also grate the potato and apply it to the affected area, allow it to dry for 15-20 minutes, and wash-off with luke-warm water.

See why I and potato get along? :-)

Mr [and Mrs] Potato  ;) ... on The Face

  • Acne Fighter: To help clear skin, apply potato juice directly to blemishes with a Q-tip or wipe the whole face with potato juice, just as you would a toner.
  • Exfoliating Toner: Grate a raw, medium-sized potato and mix with two table-spoons of lemon juice. Apply to face, avoiding eyes, and let sit for 30 minutes. The mixture will gradually alleviate hyper-pigmentation, reduce swelling and exfoliate dry-skin cells.
Mrs Potato and Mrs 'Pea' BODY  ;)

  • Sun-burn Salve: This is an old trick to helping-out burnt shoulders [or any-other body part]. Place cold potato slices on the painful burnt skin to soothe and also take the sting-out. Potatoes also help to remove colour, so keep that in mind.

  • Treatment of Rashes, Itching and Insect Bites: Simply place a raw potato wedge on the area. Do multiple times through-out the day for quick relief!
Potato Eyes  ;)  [Helps under-eyes puff.]

Slice a raw potato; place the slices in a bowl of cold water to keep them from turning brown, and refrigerate them for 15-30 minutes. Once they are chilled, pat them dry, lay back and place the slices over your eyes for about 20 minutes.

I love my potato, and obviously my potato loves me! *_* wink wink

Thanks for stopping by!

xoxo
