Melanin Popping!
Melanin 'be popping for days, weeks, months and years'! :)
Dark [make that BLACK] is beautiful!
This I've heard countless times but never really embraced it... till now! ;)
Actually I have never been insecure about being dark-skinned, especially in a family of 'oyibo peppers' [fair-complexioned mum and siblings].
Taking a family picture and being the only 'dark one' didn't make me feel any different.
And while growing, I did not buy in-to the whole 'toning my colour' to four shades lighter because, I wanted to look like some-one else... or get the attention of some 'cute guys' [that happened any-way. Lol.].
I loved me some melanin any-time, any-day! Hehehe.
I have heard people liken the dark-skin to dirt, filth, and all kinds of not-so-complimentary words. Like seriously?!
Know what? This is a beauty-blog; no need to go 'deep'.
Love you... for you!
Whether you're white, yellow, red, ivory, orange, purple or pink [my favourite skin-tone... Hehehe], amber or sarsaparilla... love and embrace it like 'kilode'!
